Lauren and Lindsay's Wedding

In my previous post I talked about being a second shooter so I want to follow that up some highlights from the most recent wedding I assisted on with Kourtney Smithson, from K.Smithson Photography. Not only is she the best friend a girl could ever have, Kourtney is extremely talented and has the biggest heart for what she does and the people in her life. She has taught me a lot of what I know about interacting with clients, camera settings and setting up the shot. If you haven’t seen her work you need to check her out!

One thing to add about being a second shooter. A lot of the times you are going to get the exact same photo as your lead and there is nothing you can do about that…. but most of the time there are other angles you can shoot from and you can get really creative about your shot! Don’t be afraid to try new things or play around with posing if you have the time because you can never have too many photos.

Here is my highlight reel from second shooting Lauren and Lindsay’s wedding at Airlie Hotel. I couldn’t stay for the reception because I had to get back to Richmond for a wedding the next day, but the entire wedding was mega elegant from the details to the bride to the venue. Enjoy!
